Put Away after you shop

Checking something off your shopping list only means it's in your cart. Nothing reaches your pantry until you put it away. That way, anything you put back on the shelf at the store is easy to fix first.

While you shop

Tap items on the list as they go in the cart. They gather in the tray at the bottom of the list, like "6 in the cart". Tap something there to put it back on the list. On iPad held sideways, the cart is a column beside the list instead of a tray.

Two people shopping at once each get their own Put Away. Things you check off go into yours, and only you finish it. Items someone else checked off show as "In other carts".

When you get home

Tap Done shopping · Put it away at the bottom of the list (or Got everything · Put it away when the list is done). You can also open Put Away later from Already shopped? Put things away (on iPad held sideways, Already shopped? Put it away at the bottom of the cart).

You get two choices:

• Scan the receipt fills in exact amounts and catches extras you grabbed. See Receipt Scan. It isn't shown if you said Not now to AI.
• No receipt, use what I ticked uses your usual amounts.

Check it, then put it away

Everything you bought is grouped by where it goes: Fridge, Freezer, Pantry or a zone you added. Tap any row to change it:

• Where it goes: the app marks the best spot.
• How much: optional. It helps with dinner picks.
• Date: keep Our estimate, or pick Date on package and type the date. See Pantry dates.
• Didn't buy it leaves it out. A list item you leave out goes back on the list.

Forgot something? Tap Add something else.

When it looks right, tap Put away (it shows how many items). The pantry changes only then. You can undo it from the message that follows.

If you don't finish

The tray tells you the day to finish by. A Put Away nobody finishes drops after 3 days, and nothing from it reaches the pantry. Its items go to Recently bought on the list, where one tap adds one back. The daily Check-in also reminds you with Finish your Put Away.
