Your data and deleting your account

Get a copy of your data
- Open Settings, then Your data (under Account & privacy).
- Under Get a copy of your data, tap Request my data.
- It takes a minute or two. When it's ready, tap Download my data (zip).
The zip holds your account and the shared data of each kitchen you're in now: lists, pantry, recipes and meal plan. They're JSON files, with CSV for lists and pantry. Other people's Private Lists, food preferences and contact details are never in it. You can download it for 7 days, and ask up to 3 times a day.
Sign out a lost phone
Settings, Sign-in & devices lists everywhere you're signed in. Tap Sign out beside a device to sign it out. Sign out everywhere signs out every device, this one too. You sign in again with a code from your email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Settings, then Your data (under Account & privacy).
- Tap Delete my account. The app shows exactly what happens first, and offers a copy of your data.
- Tap Continue to delete, type your email, and tap Delete my account.
You need a connection to delete.
Delete your account on the web
No app needed: go to app.pantryassistant.app/delete-account. Sign in with the email of the account you want to delete. We email you a code. Then tap Delete my Account and confirm.
What happens when you delete
- It happens at once and can't be undone. You're signed out on every device.
- You leave every kitchen. What you added to a shared kitchen stays there, marked "Former member".
- Your own food & diet is deleted.
- If you're a kitchen's only Owner, the person who has been there longest becomes its Owner, an Editor first, and is told. A kitchen with nobody else who can log in is deleted.
- Everything else of yours, like your Private Lists, sign-in and name, is wiped from our servers within 30 days, and drops out of our backups within 7 days.
Leave one kitchen instead
You don't have to delete your account to leave a kitchen. See Kitchens, people and roles.
Children
Nobody under 13 gets an account. A parent adds a child to the kitchen as someone who won't log in, and keeps the child's food preferences for them.
Privacy
Read our privacy policy and terms (both are drafts, being reviewed).
Can't use either way to delete? Email support@mosierdata.com from the address you sign in with, and write "Delete my account". We'll reply to confirm once it's done.
