Move it to the freezer by Tuesday
Say you bring home mushrooms on a Saturday. For mushrooms, FoodKeeper lists 3 to 7 days in the fridge (from purchase), so move them to the freezer by Tuesday, the early end of that range. They keep for 10 to 12 months there (from purchase). The Pantry shows how long each food has, and a Use first card offers Freeze (Pantry dates in Help).
